Our Company
Steady Work, Honest Counsel
Anurak is a Bangkok legal practice focused entirely on pension protection. We built the firm around one principle: people navigating pension matters deserve a calm, methodical partner, not an overwhelming process.

Why Anurak Exists
Anurak was established in Bangkok by a small group of legal practitioners who had spent years working within larger firms and noticed a consistent gap: individuals with pension concerns were often passed between departments, left with explanations they could not follow, or simply told their case was too small to prioritise.
The name Anurak — meaning "to preserve" or "to protect" in Thai — reflects the firm's purpose directly. We focus on protecting what people have worked for over long careers: their pension entitlements. That focus shapes everything, from the way we write our letters to the way we structure our fees.
Our practice covers three related areas: assessing eligibility and entitlements with care, supporting and managing appeals where benefits have been reduced or withheld, and representing clients at meetings or hearings before pension authorities. We do not take on matters outside this scope. The narrowness is deliberate — it means every person who comes to us receives attention from people who work on these issues every day.
Since opening in Bangkok's Lumphini district, we have worked with individuals across many professional backgrounds — civil servants, private sector employees, and retirees — each with a different set of records and a different set of questions. The work is quiet and careful. We think that is exactly what it should be.
Our Mission
To provide methodical, respectful legal support for pension matters, so that each person we work with finishes the process with a clear understanding of where they stand and what was done on their behalf.
Our Approach
We build each case from the records outward — no assumptions, no shortcuts. We keep clients informed throughout and do not proceed with any step without explaining what it is and why it matters.
Where We Work
Our office is in Lumphini, Pathum Wan, Bangkok. We handle matters across Thailand's pension system, including the Social Security Office, the Government Pension Fund, and related authorities.
The People
Our Legal Team
A small group of practitioners, each focused on pension law. When you come to Anurak, you work with the people who actually handle your file.
Somchai Pattanapong
Senior Legal Adviser
Over sixteen years focused on Thai pension law and social security proceedings. Somchai leads eligibility assessments and complex appeals, with a methodical approach that clients consistently find reassuring.
Nanthawan Wiriyaphan
Legal Associate
Nanthawan handles case documentation and client correspondence. She brings careful attention to record review and has particular experience with Government Pension Fund filings and appeals.
Krit Teerakul
Client Relations & Administration
Krit is often the first point of contact for new enquiries. He manages appointments, keeps clients updated on case progress, and ensures that nothing falls between the gaps in a matter.
How We Operate
Our Standards of Practice
These are not policies we publish for show. They are the habits that keep our work accurate and our clients at ease.
Thorough Record Review
Before we advise on anything, we read the actual records. Contribution histories, past decisions, correspondence — all examined before a position is formed.
Data Protection
Client records are stored securely and shared only as required by the matter. We follow Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) in all we do.
Clear Communication
We write and speak in plain language. If something in your case needs explaining, we take the time to do it properly — in person, by phone, or in writing.
Fixed, Transparent Fees
Our services are priced per task, published in advance. There are no billable-hour surprises. If scope changes, we discuss it before doing additional work.
Regulatory Compliance
Our practice operates within the framework established by the Lawyers Council of Thailand and applicable civil and administrative law governing pension proceedings.
Honest Assessment
We tell clients what the records show, not what they want to hear. If we believe a particular path is unlikely to help, we say so — clearly and early, so no time or money is spent needlessly.
Legal Support for Pension Matters in Thailand
Thailand's pension framework is administered through several distinct channels — the Social Security Office, the Government Pension Fund for civil servants, and the National Savings Fund. Each has its own procedures, timelines, and appeals processes. Navigating them alone, particularly when a benefit has been reduced or a decision has not been properly explained, is a task that calls for focused legal knowledge.
Anurak's legal team works within this framework regularly. We understand how decisions are made, where the appeal processes sit, and how to present a case to the relevant authority in a way that is organised, factual, and easy to follow.
Our practice is limited to pension work, which means our familiarity with the relevant procedures is deep. We have handled eligibility reviews for individuals who were uncertain whether their contribution records were complete, appeal files for those whose benefits were reduced following a change in employment status, and representation for clients who needed someone present during meetings with pension offices.
Anurak serves clients in Bangkok and across Thailand. Consultations can be arranged at our Lumphini office or by phone for those who find it difficult to travel. We work in English and in Thai, and we welcome enquiries at any stage — whether you have a specific decision you would like reviewed or simply want to understand your position more clearly.
